Central Dogma

An area located approximately seven kilometers beneath New Tokyo-3, inside NERV Headquarters. It is sanctioned off by multiple partitions, with its upper levels housing the NERV Command Center and the Evangelion hangars, while its lowest level is the enigmatic Terminal Dogma—there lies a sea of L.C.L. and a crucified giant.

Incidentally, the term Central Dogma has its roots in modern biology. Once genetic information is transferred from DNA to RNA to protein, it is never transferred again from the protein to any other nucleic acids or proteins. This unidirectional flow of genetic information is called central dogma.
